Terry Vrieze is an independent financial planner and investment advisor representative specializing in helping women in transition make smart decisions about their money, allowing them to spend more time doing what they love. Terry serves as his clients’ personal Chief Financial Officer, working with clients to help solve complex wealth management issues such as restructuring accounts and estate planning.

Believing that money impacts all areas of a person’s life, he has developed relationships with a network of professionals who can provide women the assistance they need—from a lawyer who can help settle a spouse’s or parent’s estate … to a CPA who can provide tax preparation and advice … to a handyman who can fix the roof.

As a financial professional for almost 40 years, Terry applies the knowledge and wisdom he has gained to helping individuals design strategies to achieve fuller, financially independent lives. Well respected by his colleagues and friends, Terry is the co-author of Financial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond.

Terry began his undergraduate studies at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA and continued his studies at Drake University. He went on to fulfill the requirements to become a Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® through the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Believing that a person can never stop learning, Terry continues to take advanced courses in the areas of estate planning, tax mitigation, wealth management and philanthropic planning.

Terry is committed to giving back to his community. He is a past president of Cherokee Jaycees and the Kiwanis Club of Johnston, organizations which serve children and young people. He is also a member of the Des Moines Chapter High 12 Masonic Lodge and the Road Runners Shrine Club, a volunteer organization that raises funds to support handicapped children’s program throughout the world. A retired Army veteran, Terry is a Life Member of the American Legion and AMVETS.

While Terry is passionate about his work, his first love is spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Edward Modglin

Ed’s business is one in which he strives to help people achieve their dreams. Financial planning is a vehicle used to help provide that opportunity. The reality is, most dreams have a financial component. Whether someone dreams of buying a new car, retiring early, or spending more time pursuing a passion, a financial plan is necessary if the dream is to be accomplished.

Client’s dreams provide a rare insight into their philosophy about life and money, and in turn, empower Ed to manage their money more effectively to increase the possibility of attaining those dreams.

Ed has worked as a financial professional for over 19 years, in roles from registered representative to branch manager to president of his own firm. All these experiences have taught Ed that everyone he works with is unique and deserving of a financial plan specifically designed to meet their goals. Firmly believing that learning should never stop, Ed takes every opportunity he can to increase his knowledge to better serve his clients. He takes this belief in education and applies it to his clients as well, taking time to make sure they understand the actions and solutions that make up their plan.

Ed is a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, an Irish charitable organization, and has been in charge of the St. Patrick’s Day parade held in downtown Des Moines. He is active at his church and has coached little league for the last couple of years. Ed graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with degrees in Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and holds the series 63, 65, 7, 8, 24, and 31 as well as life and health insurance licenses. He currently lives in West Des Moines with his wife and two sons.
